Career strategist tips
In this excerpt of this article, we will show you how to manage yourself as an experienced corporate professional; develop your personal brand.
the first thing you have to be clear about is the work they’re meant to do and it’s done into a meaningful career. So, we’ve received a lot of questions and comments lately about our interview.
How do I get the job when I’m inexperienced?
In this article, we want to share with you a key exercise that everyone has to do, whether they have experience or not before submitting their resume and doing interviews.
And I can tell you that this has nothing to do with the resume or the interview itself, it actually has more to do with you as an individual so you should definitely pay attention.
THIS IS THE PROBLEM
The problem that many professionals may be facing or that they are seeing, is a real problem, however, they do not know how to sell themselves to employers and get them to hire you anyway, despite their lack of experience.
In other words, they cannot be expressed as a personal brand. So considering that you’re probably someone inexperienced, this is a likely scenario where you can be right in the early stages of establishing your career.
Let’s talk about you
you’re someone who already has a previous career, but you want to switch to another market or industry,
nor does he have any experience in that particular industry. What you have to realize is that if you want to stand out from the employers, you have to stand out from the crowd.
It needs to have something that we name it a personal brand. So what is a personal brand?
And it has nothing to do with having the right experience for that position or in that industry, Your personal brand is much more than, the resume or the things you say, in an interview.
Although those are key tools we use to help you express your personal brand.
Think of it this way.
As a contractor, what do you think they’d want from someone who was a perfect candidate for the job? They’d want someone who can prove who they are. So, for example, demonstrating positive behavior, showing confidence, someone who’s anxious, someone who’s useful.
They also want someone who can prove what he’s capable of, showing what he’s learned in the past, that you can without presenting this new opportunity.
And then they also want someone who can prove what, makes them valuable.
So, for example, if you’ve been able to do something or accomplish something in the past.
All of those individual pieces clearly explain what their personal brand is for them.
So what we’re trying to say is, if you want to have a strong personal brand, you need to be able to connect the dots. You have to be able to use the experiences you’ve acquired and the knowledge you’ve acquired up to this point.
YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO CONNECT ANGLES AND POINTS
Whether or not they relate to this current position, from an industry perspective or even from a job/title or the perspective of duties. Never mind. It’s more about putting together, those experiences are joined to your personal brand, and you can express that and relate it to this position in front of you.
So unfortunately, if you don’t know how to connect the dots, then you’re probably not going to get through the first or second round of interviews. Because what’s going to happen is that you’re going to keep telling yourself, «I don’t have experience for this race. I have no experience to do this work.»
As you answer your interview questions, you will realize that
answers lack in any way, form or appearance. Because you’re not selling yourself.
The right way to sell
The way he sells himself, the key to selling himself; is through your personal brand.
Remember, use the stories and experiences you’ve acquired from the past to articulate, who you are, what you’re capable of, and what makes you valuable. If you can show them, then that’ll really help you differentiate yourself from the competition.
